    Photographing Theme Parks

    Howdy all!

In a few months in March, I'll have the great chance to goto California, mainly Anaheim, but some other spots along the coast also. The majority of my time will be spent around and in the Disneyland resort area, and, knowing me, will have my camera with me 24/7. I have this thread not to just state that I'm going to California, but rather if anyone has any tips of photographing in theme parks, what to look for, methods, lenses to bring, etc. etc. Also, any rules that apply to photographers in theme parks? For example, I've read around on different message boards about having a tripod in the parks is not allowed, or having a lens over a certain size is not allowed. If ANYONE has any information to share please let me know!

    Thanks again,

    Jared

Might want to check the websites of the parks you'll be visiting, or call them and ask. I'd say travel light - a big camera and long lens will attract attention which you don't want. Also, tripods will not only be a pain to carry but can be a safety hazard as well - people can trip over them, then who's liable? Being private property, you'll have to follow their rules.

Thanks for the advice. I guess that's kind of common sense eh?! I'll definately phone once I get my exams out of the way.

    Thanks,

    Jared
