    New Nikon DSLR

Believe it or not I walked into our downtown camera store and purchased a Nikon D40 DSLR with the 18-55 mm kit lens and a 55-200 mm VR lens.

Uh-oh! Does this mean you're going to start having clear, sharp photos and spoil your style?

Really, congratulations and looking forward to what you do with it!!

    Re: New Nikon DSLR

Thanks guys. I realized finally, that the small sensor on the Kodak probably has a lot to do with noise in the image. I've been posting some stock images and most of what I upload is unacceptable because of noise, even pictures I was sure didn't have any noticeable noise. That was part of my decision to grow up a little.

Wonderful choice Don!! With your eye and the D40 I'm looking forward to some great images. There will be a learning curve but it's well worth it. Congrats on taking the leap to a DSLR.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Congrats on the purchase. I was very giddy when I got my D70s just over a year ago now.

This should be interesting and I am looking forward to some new looks from you but don't give up on your old cameras and style entirely.
    No, I DON'T need that.

I think we need to start a Nikon club. We could call it the "The Nikon Hallmark Club" you know, for those who want the very best! Jeff
