    Photo Vacation Ideas
Well, I'm in the process of Planning my Photo vacation for next year. I will probably have My Jeep Rubicon by next year so there won't be too many places that I really can't go with in reason. I'm going to be bringing alot of my equipment so a hiking trip isn't really an option. I don't get out too often so I want to burn as much film as I can :). Any suggestions? I was looking at big bend in texas because it has alot of unpaved roads and nice landscapes. Anybody have any favorite photo spots accessable by an off road vehicle? Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Magoo.

I'm an urban kind of shooter...
So I recommend New Orleans. And if you drive along the Mississippi River into former plantation territory, there are - well - old plantations in varying degrees of ruin. But if you're looking for untouched-by-human type landscapes, I'm sure some other people here have better suggestions!

    Have fun planning!

I suppose it depends on what time of year you want to go and what you want to shoot. If you do make it to Texas, check out the Hill Country - especially in the spring. It's the area west of Austin, including Fredricksburg (where Cowgirl is from), New Braunfels, Johnson City (home of the LBJ ranch) and Luckenbach (sp?). Spring brings incredible wildflowers there, I was there last year around Easter.
