I saw this today too. What an a$$. I hope they throw the book at both of them. Not just for this, but for that crap he calls music too. That should be worth some jail time in itself. Can you tell I'm not a fan?

All I saw was a couple of hooded thugs smashing up someone's camera and then going after the video cameraman.
Are those they famous for something else then?

Yes, one of them is Kanye West. A rapper/producer (10 time Grammy winner) and the other guy is his body guard.

Though taking images of people in a public area is perfectly legal, some people are cross the line with that camera IMHO. A clip such as that doesn't tell the story, so lets see the previous footage taken with that video camera

I defy anyone to go to a beach and walk around taking closeups of woman tanning...... do you think the person who beats you down and throws your camera in the water is wrong to and deserves jail time?

While not a huge fan of Kayne West, he is actaully a really really good artist. His ego, tho, is why I can't stand him.

While his actions are ridiculous, Paul's right, there probably was something before that clip. Do they justify his response? No. But you see all the time the media taking things too far to get something to sell.

Adina, the rap community did more the first MONTH for New Orleans than our rediculous government and Kanye was a person that helped. He was a bit over the top with that comment, but it had a bit of truth.

I assure you, Kanye has a legal right to not be harrassed and the $$ to buy that joker a new camera. For all we know, the photogs were calling him the N word which is FELONY HARRASSMENT and punishable by up to 7 years in jail

If anyone can judge a situation by that clip, they should keep watching fox news and believe that too..... hahaha

Doesn't matter what happened before, assault is never the correct response. Like I said, tho, I'm assuming he was provoked, but that doesn't excuse violence.

But yes, if you judge the whole thing by that clip, you probably aren't going to get the whole of it.

The answer is yes. It is after all a public place an the photographer is crossing a line but that line is not a legal line.

Let's say you are on a public side walk. You point a camera at a house. The owner comes out and puts you in the hospital. Does he deserves jail time. The answer is???? (YES)

True it is wrong to beat a person down for crossing the line, but I didn't see the video with Kanye or his body guard throwing punches. Did I miss that part?

Let's face it, stalking a person for an image (get out my face) would annoy most people including me.
