    National Geographic......

I know that its been awhile, but here is an update.

National Geographic Adventure (Traveling) Magazine did purchase 2 photos from me. They paid for 1/4 page on both, but they are actually thumbnails!

Issues are out now! Page 26 (Texas Hill Country, Feb 2006).

They are tiny , but its my first major publication - and its NG!

Hopefully there will be more in the future, and I had a great time working with them!

    Kathy-
Thanks a lot for the reminder and update. I'm very happy for you and I will buy that issue for sure

Hopefully this is just the beginning.

    Congratulations Kathy!

That is really great news! Thumbnails are great! Most of will never get a thumbnail in a NG magazine! It's awesome actually.

You've got a foot in the door of the big leagues there girl!

I'll pick up the magazine this week.

Thanks for the update - I've thought about you - and wondered about your NG adventure many times.

    Re: National Geographic......

    It was a fun experience.

Yes, the photos are very small, and photo credit is way off in the inside margin. Funny.

I was amazed at the photos that they choose. I had set up a little viewing gallery with about 100 or so images. There were better photos in overall quality (to me anyway) than the ones that they choose.

I would LOVE to see my work as a little larger image - I was expecting to see them as 1/4 pages!

But, overall, I'm just really happy (thrilled) that they even contacted me in the first place, and published 2 as thumbnails!
