Veered off Hwy 101 and headed to the Skokomish Trail. Beautiful area here in Western Washington State very secluded, still and quite. Got a special surprise on this visit hiked up river a little and 6-7 good size steelheads and salmon trying to get up river but they were just about at the end of their lives. Then decided to hike up a little on trail total rain forest environment. Very steep and rugged trail climbed 1200 ft in about 1.5 miles on foot, thought I was going to have a heart attack. Could have spent all day their but work always gets in the way of fun. Also started to get a little butt pucker when I saw fresh cougar tracks on the trail. Time to turn around.
Anyways a few pictures of the area.
