It only took a year and a half

but I finally found where the batteries to the Holga with flash go...geesh...Adina's post
------and finding a free roll of transperancy film from two years ago's photo show in NY-----inspired me to get it out

and as I'm putting them in my three year old son says, "wow mama did you get that at Burger King" LOL

whole new meaning to the words toy camera... ;)

    Recommendation

Tape over the batteries with your black tape so light doesn't bounce around. Oh yeah - and so the batteries don't pop out and get in the way of the image.

You have forgotten Holga Rule: 2...

    Holga Rule:2...
Black Duct Tape, is your friend...
That way I don't have to worry about anything poping open.
Where do the batteries go anyway? I have never used on for the flash models.
Take some pics of it and show us! Please!!!?
Make sure you take some flash pics Nat!
Anytime I need to use a flash I use my SB-80dx, on manual.

    Oh And!!

You'll be amazed with the results you get with slide film!
I have done it once and got some incredible results, for using a Holga.
I would only use an outdated roll of 120 slide film though.

My friend's wedding photographer used a Holga....she also had a couple of other cameras (I think the brand was Ni......something or other )

Can't wait to see what you come up with Nat!

I love it! That's a classic. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your Holga work, Nat, as you seem to get something from nothing all the time. Not meaning the Holga is nothing - but........well, you know what I mean.

well - if you leave the "chassis" in they don't, but then you get rectangular images, and lose the vignetting.

I've developed a very intricate taping system for the batteries
but I'll leave you to develop your own!
