    One Weekend In Utah
Utah is one of the greatest places in the world. On Saturday Jenni and I skied knee deep powder in Park City. And on Sunday we rode on Gooseberry Mesa, near St. George. Can you say epic weekend?

The snow photo was taken with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and Canon 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye. The Gooseberry photo was taken with the Olympus E-620 and 12-60mm Zuikon Digital lens.

Does Jenni have a snow forehead?
That would give me a sinus driven brain freeze (shudder).
Teriffic pics of extremes there, John.
With that good snow, I'm not surprised you're grinning more in the first shot :)

Looks like an awesome weekend, John. But I've gotta agree with Paul, that snow on the face... yikes, way too cold for me.

Never photographed it but I wrecked a bike on Gooseberry. I love the edges of that mesa and the views it has.

My buds tell me that the powder was waist deep last week at Snowbird. Epic indeed.

Just got back to SLC. It was a short but epic trip to Southern Utah. There will be more photos - especially of Zion. I'll be posting again in the next day or two. Got some actual mtb and pow action photos, too!

    Zion
Besides skiing and mountain biking, we also spent a day hiking in Zion National Park. I am working my way through photos now and I'll be posting more as soon as I can. But I like this one too much to wait. This was actually taken just outside the park, in Springdale. We came out of a restaurant after dinner and the moon was hanging over the cliffs like this. It was magic.

The photo was taken with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II with the 70-200 f/2.8L and 1.4X tele-extender.
