Question Old 120 Slide Film? Anyone Have Any?

I normally shoot color negative film in my Holga, but at the Maine Photographic Workshops they only process E6 and B&W films.
So I am wondering if anyone out there has some old outdate 120 slide film they no longer need?
I'd be willing to work something out with you. I'd certainly pay for you ship it, but could trade you for a print too, if you want.
I would prefer it be 400 ASA, if possible, and would like to have 3-5 rolls.
    Thanks!!

120 film is so cheap I'd pay to get some new stuff! Check out Velvia and Provia and if you're a Kodak fan E100S. I know all are "slow" but oh so worth it.

In the simplest of terms, Holga and other toy cameras are just that, a simple camera.
In other terms, it is a unique camera that gives results like no other camera out there.
    And it shoots film!

Ack! You are about three months too late. I finally threw away about a dozen rolls of frozen 120 Provia when no one was interested in taking them off my hands!

I have lots of NEW 120 film that I often put in my manual cameras and expose to daylight in various pretty places before taking to the local laboratory to have dipped in chemicals, wrapped in plastic and sold back to me for a few dollars.

But no old 120 sorry. Try looking at B&H in the "clearance" section they often have expired or soon-to-be film there.

Brian - I found 3 rolls. Let me know where to send them! I will troll some local camera stores (B&H, K&M) for soon-to-be expired deals.

WHAT?! WHAT?! What is the point of a Holga?!

If you have to ask, you'll never get it!

The Holga simply is. It does not need an explanation!

Oh - sorry Brian...couldn't help myself!

ANYWAY...I buy stocks of film on Ebay.

Just go do a search "120 film" and then you'll have the choice of narrowing that down to just "film". It will show you subcategories to the left of the screen.

For instance, I just did a search and came back with 126 hits.

    Here's a good one - 20 rolls for only $36 bucks.

Re: Old 120 Slide Film? Anyone Have Any?

I know, it's perplexing, isn't it? However - photography is more than the sum of its, well, these days, megapixels. There are all sorts of methods to creating photographs. That's what's great about photography. While some people place all importance upon focus, lens sharpness, etc etc, there are other more interpretive aspects that other people place importance on. Some people just prefer using a Holga, a Diana, a pinhole, or any other of the myriad methods as a creative way to create a photograph. There are as many reasons as there are toy camera photographers: The cameras are simple, use film, some use medium format and create a square image, some have plastic lenses for soft focus, there's the vignetting... I personally love the simplicity of the camera. There are few rules, and I can use it more like a paintbrush than a camera and double expose, overlap, layer, create landscape-proportioned images (as the film advance only stops when you want it to.) It's a conscious choice, really. (My image in Camera Arts was created with a Holga.) You should try a Holga - all the cool kids are doing it!
