    Number 3000
It doesn't seem like all that long ago I barely edge out Steve (Another View) to the 1000 mark. Of course, he blew me away getting to 2000, and he's now well past the 5000 mark! Old Timer is also past 5000, so 3 grand doesn't seem all that impressive.

Of course, being a milestone post, it has to include my lovely wife. So here are a few shots for your viewing pleasure.

First shot is one from our weekend getaway on our 9th anniversary last month.
Second one is from lunch today, during a baby shower for one of her coworkers.
The last three are shots showing her doing what she loves to do - soak up the sun. On the beach or on the boat doesn't matter, as long as there's water involved.

    Gotta love those GRITS!
That's "Girls Raised In The South" for those that are wondering.

Good question. Maybe I should post it in the self portrait thread!

"As usual, you wife is lovely!"

Thank you! I think so too.

    "Similar profiles..."

Actually, it's MY mom. Ironic that you should say that though. A few months back, my parents had some old 8mm movies transferred to DVD. While watching that, Dawn was struck by how much my mother looked like her when mom was in her 20's/30's. They also both noted that they even have very similar mannerisms and expressions.

    Lord help me....

Thank you for the comments Adina!

Is that a complaint?! Surely not!

I know that many of you live vicariously through me, so I do my part and post photo's of my lovely wife. Actually, it should inspire you to take and post photo's of your lovely significant others. Old Timer does. Troy (I Fly) has. Guess the rest of you should do so as well.

    ;-)

    "I'm close behind!"

Yes you are. Of course, you need not bother trying to out-do me. But we do expect something nice....

3000!!!! I know what a landmark that is congratulations! You have long been one of those we look up to here on PR and Viewfinder. All you need to do to keep our admiration is to continue to post pictures of the lovely Dawn. You really know how to warm up a cool February day. Thanks for all you've done to make PR the photography site of choice on the Internet.

You need to hit milestones like this more often! Dawn is gorgeous as always. It's always pleasant to see photos of her! :)

It's hard to believe that we started posting on PR about the same time. Now you're over 3K and I'm just over 300. I guess I need to start posting more!

It's kind of funny (yet scary in a way) that Dawn is so much like your mother, isn't it?

I appreciate the kind words. Don't get too carried away - my head might start to swell.

Sure, you don't care about my milestone, you just want an excuse to see photo's of Dawn. Not that I blame you!

    ;-)

"It's hard to believe that we started posting on PR about the same time. Now you're over 3K and I'm just over 300. I guess I need to start posting more!"

You also started with a different screen name. When you changed to "I Fly" you started over again. While you may not have been posting much lately (with Gus being born, Collette getting her PhD, and the move), I know your actual count is much higher than that.

"It's kind of funny (yet scary in a way) that Dawn is so much like your mother, isn't it?"

Ironic - yes. Funny - Maybe. Scary - I'm afraid to comment on that one!

    You're practically there!

    "the Nikon D70s is helping..."

Digital definitely increases the number of photo's you take. It took me nearly four years to shoot 10,000 frames of film. I've put over 8000 frames through the D200 in 10 months.

"I need to post more photos."

    Absolutely!
