NIU Remembers: a legacy of character
I was assigned the job of photographing the one year anniversary of the tragedy that took place on the campus of NIU. Today they laid wreaths at the future site of a memorial garden to each of the five fallen students.
The entire day was well planned out and very nicely done and the school, students and faculty should be proud of what they've done and how far they've come.
One thing that really impressed me was they had a couple of dozen "Crisis Dog's" on hand that work as therapy dogs. They sure brightened up everyone's day and brought smiles to many faces.

As web forums go, we're practically next-door neighbors...
A co-worker's son was there 15 min before it all started. Nice shots and tribute to the events.

I agree, Nice shots..
Wow I didn't realize that it was a year already. My ex-boss had a daughter at school that day.

We are neighbors. I actually live in Machesney Park. I was at NIU on assignment.
