Star trails from some attempted meteor photography that didn't work out very well. But the trails worked great! :)
This is x-posted from another thread but seems appropriate here too.

    Pentax K-x & Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye ~50 20 second exposures stacked.

I have several shots from other places that were taken handheld at 1/5 of a second that are very sharp that were taken handheld. The funny thing was that I didn't even realize the shutter speed was that slow until I was looking at the pictures on my computer and looked at the data. Yes my hands are very steady for a grandpaw, Jeff

A friend (soon to be one of my future daughter-in-law's bridemaids) on her first-ever visit to the Magic Kingdom. This was during the Electric Lights parade, so the street lights were out. I saw her looking up at the castle as its lights changed colors and liked the reflection in her glasses, so I asked her to freeze while I diddled the camera from the settings for the parade going by, and she was very patient. Available light, monstrous ISO (still had to bring it lighter in PS,) NEAT noise filter, genuine reflection in the glasses.

My Alma mater had the homecoming celebration on Friday. They light up the big W on the mountain overlooking town and have fireworks. I set up to get both in a single shot but a freak snowstorm blocked the view of the W.

A little later the storm cleared and I got a W shot (with campus and some of town) from a nearby hillside.
