a99 does Rock City Christmas lights

It was COLD on the mountain last night. I haven't been to Rock City since I was a kid. The musician shot is 6400 ISO, not bad.

Beautifully done Greg! Love the night falls shot and the star, the last image is wonderfully composed. That 6400 shot is out of site, this generation of cameras perform way beyond anything I would have believed 7 or 8 years ago.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

The lenses on the other hand.. I can see a fair amount of light falloff at the corners of the musician image. What lens were you using?

Ed, Larry, Charles thanks. These were taken with a Konica Minolta 17-35mm G version.

Beautiful set of photos, Greg. The A99's image quality really is stellar. I love that camera. I think it's got the best combination of features and image quality for the money right now. I'd love to own one but I can't afford it right now - plus, I need more speed for sports shooting.

Happy New Year, buddy! Thanks for being our most prolific unofficial camera tester

Thanks Armando, thanks John yes the FPS and EVF would be tough to shoot a lot of sports with. You would think with all of the other great things it will do FPS would be up there. Plus a bigger buffer. With memory being so cheap a large buffer should be a given.
