OT, Joy is breath-taking. Is she in the arts or artistic? I always get that feeling from her every time I see her pic.

That's very sweet of you JETA. I'll pass that on to her for sure. She might get a laugh out of the artistic part. We both lament our non artistic abilities. She is an educator, in the administrative end now but when she was in the classroom she taught English.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Well, go buy her a paint brush or a piano. She totally looks the part!

I've posted this one in the past. I know it still not technically in OT's theme either. This shot is in a large cave with holes in the roof (and that's my boy). But, I like it...

And finally, one that does use ambient light only inside a room (but from an open door). My two girls...

Love all three. Those glasses are terrific. Wonderful color and use of that great light coming in the window.

Re: A New Window Light Thread

    Thanks OT,

You know... For the glasses, I walked into that one early morning. I grabbed my camera and shot it. I then posed the glasses various ways. The sun was moving. I was trying to get fancy.

My first shot was the best.. just how I originally found things.

    Cheers,

Thanks OT. No backstory here, just a man riding a bus in Szczecin, Poland. I loved the way his bright jacket stood out among the darker colors, so I shot two or three frames.

    Hi Amber,

That is Cenote Samula near Valladolid, Yucatan. Here is a write up on them:

And they are an incredible place to visit/swim. Just the best way to escape the heat of mid-day.

Thanks Robert! You know I never even thought about that lamp being on in the background. I guess I broke my own rule and didn't even realize it.

It's about time for a few more of the lovely Dawn as well Speed.

Great explanation Ali!! I don't know why I didn't think of that in the first place. That must have been it.

Wow!! Now I have a brand new favorite photo of you. Love the PP treatment on this photograph. Such a provocative look makes one forget your the mother of two and the apple of an adoring beagles eye. That's not even mentioning your a devoted cheese head. Boy can looks be deceiving.

This looks waaay dark on my monitor Amber. I especially want to see the cat's face and that is particularly hard to make out. Try sitting him in front of a window without direct sunlight coming through and try photographing him in that light.
