New Orleans is pretty cool too!
I was in NOLA for a long weekend. SO not fair, now I'm in NY and it's snowing. Not sure how many photos I'm posting but there are quite a few - above my daily mandated 6, sorry, but I've been saving up!! This set will be random photos from the French Quarter - mostly architectural details.

More of Laura and some Oak Alley photos
Plantations were neat. Oak Alley can be seen in Interview with the Vampire, among other films.

    Hi Megan,
The panels #3 & #4 are great pictures, they stand as a collection or on their own the composition is superb. These could easily be sold.

The check is in the mail Norman! [winks]
Thanks Norman! I was feeling lonely. I would have been happy with "Gee Megan looks like you had a great time down south!"

All joking aside, thanks for looking, and commenting. Even if it was sort of forced!

    [laughing at myself]

    Hi Megan,
Now that you owe me, he.he.
I'm not the most computer savvy person, what size did you make the photo's in each panel, in order to have multiple pictures per post. Sorry if it's a dumb question

Let's see - I scanned at 100% from 4x6 prints, 300 DPI. To post, I "rezzed down" [reduced the resolution] in Photoshop from 300 to 100 DPI [maybe it was 72] and the long dimension at 4.5 or so inches. Saved as JPG, quality at 12. I didn't actually create them as panels - each post in the new forum can handle a max of 4 attachments, so I just attached 4 files and that's how they came out.

Kodak color film is sooooo much fun.....

    Hi Megan,

I've wanted to go to New Orleans, but haven't had the chance yet.

I don't know what Kodak VC and UC is, but I'm assuming it's the film you used... (digital idyut going out on a limb here!) The colors in this group of photos, and the next, look great. The shots have a different quality or look to them, hard for me to put my finger on it... but I like. :)

    there's the meganholga fan club
now ts the meganorleans fan club

And now you're simply going to have to go back and opena gallery in New Orlenas...so you can shoe them what Phtography is really all about

There are many plans to be made before your move...:D

the 3rd and 4th grouping are beautiful... and the one of the bo ain't to shabby either ;)

    I was envisioning...
10 posts, all saying "Gee Megan..."

    <LOL>

Thanks for the compliments. I don't feel like I'm good in color at all, so all the pretty colors thanks to UC and VC made me very happy.

I want to go back and spend weeks upon months taking pictures.
There were some pretty great ones for sale in galleries off Decatur Street, I don't know about me setting up down there. I'd have some stiff competition.

    Excellent!
Hopefully, my crew will decide to play paintball earlier in April rather than the weekend you all will be here.

    Thanks for looking.

Maybe I should e-mail the postcard companies <LOL>

    Indeed, film types!
For me, it's easier to juggle 5 cameras, each with different film, than it is to change the settings on a digital! :) And yup, I really did have 5 cameras with me.

    Thanks!
It's interesting, the UC especially was really crappy outside [on a partly cloudy day] but the colors really popped in the the shots in the shade. The butler's quarters [indoor shot with rocking chair and food on the table] was really low light, and I was using my Stylus.

Thanks again for looking. Looks like I have to send out a few more checks ;)
