    Never lose hope...a happy tale.
A week ago,Sony (Jakarta) refused to fix my over-worked Cybershot - while its still under warranty.
I can see their point - its done way more work than it was meant for.
At the weekend, the only lens I have took a chip from flying grit - I was down badly, but still shooting, hoping, praying that somehow I'd find a camera .

A relative who'd had a movie film camera when young heard I was in trouble, liked my photos and followed my progress, contacted me,and yesterday we went camera shopping !

(Even better, as I wanted to be really careful to stay in the budget she gave me,I'd done all my online pricing by 9am,that morning - only to see ,while shopping, the sweet deal on a 40D had come off "Reserved" - in 5 mins it was back online, - reserved for me.)

I could hardly believe it,in a daze - I bought my Auntie the best cheesecake and Late in town as we waited out hard rains to come home.....didn't even taste my cake...

I know not everyone has angel Aunties like mine, but sometimes, when you need it the most,a dream comes true.

Thanks to all for every comment, critique and good wish.

I love how the Nifty works with this camera,I can reach over and adjust focus with one finger, while the body feels like a tank !

This is a quick shot of Buhan, who was as excited as me !

    CONGRATS! :)

I'm sure you will get some very good pictures out of it, based on what you've been posting with the compact digital.

A good story indeed. Now go out and have a ball shooting with it, and don't forget something nice for Aunties wall!

Frog..She is actually a very young and glam. 63,and still performs with the band,on Santoor,an eastern instrument...and her husband's a weightlifter.. might be a bit jealous:D

Jimmy,I will do that - great idea !
-she loves framed paintings and prints, and I know exactly what her taste is !

AMDA - Cathathome - Jetrim I have a duo from this morning, bit rough,as I was running around town getting last min. stuff for my daughter's wedding,in the morning,so took the 40D with,it will take some getting used to !

First is taken out of the car window - a shame the smile that followed is blurred and an attempt at feeling out the bokeh with flowers.
