National Take your Camera to Work Day

For all of you who have a job OTHER than in photography, do you take your camera with you everyday?

I have just started bringing it with me just for those "wish I had my camera" moments.......

    How about all of you?

Yes, I always bring a camera to work, and generally with me wherever I go.

About half the time. When I am in Wyoming rarely, when I am in Alaska, all of the time.

Unfortunately, cameras are forbidden at my place of work, except for those specifically designated by the company, and then they may only use company cameras for official business. It's only been a couple of years since they finally let us carry camera equipped cell phones, but using the camera (on company property) is grounds for dismissal. So if I want photos taken at work, I have to find someone authorized to do it for me.

    Cetainly not.. almost

The Client pays me to sort out his Information Systems problems, not take pictures.

It would be unprofessional - and rather silly - to start doing pictures on site.
    Plus it's forbidden anyway.

I think the most use I will get out of the experiment is photo ops on the drive in or back home.

lol - I've been taking a camera with me durn near every where, every time I travel, for a long time. Have stopped along side roads, and even not stopped :blush2:, and taken hundreds of photos over these many years. Includes during flights too - had have quite a few opportunities to take interesting shots of moon, sunrise/sets, city scapes, etc. while flying. And during road travels, to/from work, elsewhere, there is a camera with me all the time - may not be best/quality shots, but they are snapshots of 'life', and are then cool to share, or just to help remember. Now that I have a 'real' camera, 'tis going to be even more enjoyable.

    Hi All

I don't know if its true or not but I read somewhere that the first rule of photography is to
have a camera with you. To miss that shot of a lifetime by failing to observe rule #1 could
be rather hard to swallow. I don't have any problems with taking photos at work
so my camera bag spends a lot of time in the back seat of my 4x4.

    Cheers

I'm lucky enough to be self-employed,right now,::cryin: which gives me a huge amount of time at home between concert trips, where its my job to document the whole thing.
-So my camera goes everywhere with me - local bus drivers have started offering me a front seat for shooting out of the open window - I'm getting used to having the extra weight along and tuns of practice with the 40D.
