Myrtle Beach Shots

Here's a couple of quick shots from Myrtle Beach. I've loaded them onto my computer, but I haven't even gone through them to name them and put them into folders yet. But this was the most interesting thing I saw there (besides my wife!). I'll get some more shots up in the coming days.

There was a surfing competition going on - with two foot waves - and this guy was standing in the surf taking photo's. I could tell by his lens he was shooting a Canon Thingy, but I went up and talked with him anyway. :-O
Just because I've got the good taste to shoot Nikon, doesn't mean I'm a snob! ;-)

Turns out he was shooting a 10D with a 400mm lens. I guess I'm just not as dedicated as him, and Paul and all the others who take their gear into the muck, mire, and water! This guy was standing nearly knee deep in the surf when I first saw him. And I was thinking, "Egads, that's got to be bad on the tripod, sitting in the salt water!"

WELL..... Nikons can't take abuse, but those FIRST RATE CANON'S CAN!!!!!

AND IT DEFINITELY TAKES A MAN!!!! TO SHOOT CANON...stick with Nikon :)

Actually, Carteret County has some world class waves when the wind is right. One of my co-workers (who now works in Hawaii) used to surf over at Shackleford Banks, and he's seen pro surfers there. South Carolina, on the other hand, is a different world...

Of course I'm not a photo snob! :-) Photography is photography, and the gear is secondary. Though, those in the know shoot Nikon! ;-)

What you left off is, it takes a STRANGE man to shoot Canon. Weird feel, controls aren't ergonomically placed, it takes a strange bird indeed to want to shoot with one of those! :-O

I'll proudly stick with Nikon! I am Nikon Samurai #1 after all!

besides... I'll put my F100 up against a FM2N anyday.. both are SOLID,but my F100 has a 400f5.6 hand on it :)

Has an FM2n as well and his has a metal quick release tripod mount on the bottom for extra heft... You best watch out mister Canon shooter....;)

Everyone knows that the CANON NINJA is supreme. Canon Ninjas are the REAL ULTIMATE POWER.

Facts:

1. Canon Ninjas are mammals.
2. Canon Ninjas fight ALL the time.
3. The purpose of the Canon Ninja is to flip out and kill people and take pictures.

Canon Ninjas are sooooooooooo sweet that I want to crap my pants. I can't believe it sometimes, but I feel it inside my heart. These guys are totally awesome and that's a fact. Canon Ninjas are fast, smooth, cool, strong, powerful, and sweet. I can't wait to start yoga next year. I love ninjas with all of my body (including my pee pee).

But it's not. It soaks in to a deep tan. Dawn does not burn. She has a natural dark complextion. I'll post some recent shots, and you will see what I mean.

Yeah, yeah, take a number and get in line. I've gotten used to men oggling my wife. And I know they think I'm her sugar daddy - why else would such a gorgeous woman be with me?! Hehehe. :-D

Of some really cool looking guys, but I fail to detect even one canon thingy amoung them.

Of course, the camera is only a tool. The photographer makes or breaks the image. And some subjects are more interesting than others. I'd much rather take photo's of a beautiful woman than the coolest guys on the planet. ;-)
