My first shot at some IR photography
Today was a pretty fun day of shooting. I went down to Island Heights to take some photos. Its where I usually go to shoot with new gear I get. I finished up my IR mod on my Canon 350D and took it for a spin today and last night.

Heres shots from today. I'm going to keep them as click to enlarge as I feel at anything lower than 800x600 res really keeps the shots from showing good detail. Theyre 1000xXXX resolution in the click to enlarge photos below.

Here is a time lapse video of the stars from out of my window. It consists of 115x 30 second ISO 800 exposures. It looks tons better in full resolution. I'll be happy to send it to anybody if they want it, just PM me. Full size is 16mb. The video and a single frame from it are below-

Infrared sure gives detail to clouds, I see.
I like your fourth shot best, the one with the flags.

OK yeah, once I get another camera I know what I'm gonna do with my Drebel.

Thanks for the idea, I like the video a lot.

Plus in those fisheye pictures, is there snow?

no snow in the fisheye shots, just grass. the grass appears white in the IR spectrum. :-) as do trees(look at the shot of the person ontop of their car, along the horizon)

    Thanks for your input guys!

    That is pretty freaking amazing.

On the car one, is that sand on the horizon as well? That is awesome regardless.

I believe it was grass. I do remember having a hard time with the exposure of the far shore line and the close object. I exposed properly for the foreground and the shore is slightly over exposed, which may be why the grass appears so bleach white in that photo in comparison to the grass in the foreground.

** looking at other photos on my 40D with correct color, it was actually a bulkhead/dock planks, whatever you wanna call it, reflecting the sunlight. You can see it in this photo:
