My baby's a ninja....Tae Kwon Do graduation
So the graduation ceremony was last night. The acadamy we are in doesn't believe in 6 yr old black belts, and has a youth program they call the Flying Dragons. This was her first round of testing, she's anxiously awaiting the day when they can break bricks with their heads. BTW...my oldest just started last week, so they are both in it. It's really a lot of fun. They focus more on application than technique, being able to defend themselves, as opposed to winning tropheys for pretty kicks and punches...as a mother of two girls, that's comforting...

Wonderful Adina. That pink head band is a real decoy for the poor unsuspecting aggressor. My daughter and son were into Tae Kwon Do in college. After two knee surgeries my daughter decided to call it quits, but she really enjoyed and profited from the experience.

Awesome shots Adina. And, yes, very comforting for both you and them I should imagine.

Wow, she looks like she means business. I don't think I would want to attack her mother with her around. :nono:

Congratulations to the little one, she rocks. I told mine she can't date till she's a blackbelt and can shoot as well as I do. She was able to break wood at 8 and just missed qualifying epxert with a .22 single shot at campl last summer. Me and my big mouth.
Great photos by the way.

That's great Adina!! You should get your little ones some shirts from the Ninjamart Store!

Too funny! I want one of those shirts!
Thanks guys, it definitly is fun to watch, and they love it.
Since they are both in, we are on the family plan, which means the 3rd person is free. So I've been trying this Muay-Thai class. Basically, I go and get my butt kicked 3 times a week for about an hour. I've tried the "hey I'm wearing glasses" defense, the response, "hey, we don't worry about that here, we don't even care that you're a girl!"

I love the first shot. Great intensity.

The glasses thing never worked for me either. I'm very effecient at blocking almost any kick, punch or elbow perfectly, I just use my face.
