My baby got her first black eye!

Yesterday after we got home from school, we went out in the back yard to play. The dogs were really excited that we were out there and they were running around us like crazy. One of my dogs is a 6 month old 100 pound great dane puppy! Well, the puppy ran past my two year old, Megan, then he spun around and the top of his head collided with her cheek bone!!! Resulting in an immediate bruise. She (my daughter) is a tough one though!! She cried for a minute and then ran off to play! lol

The picture was yesterday after it happened. It looks worse today and she says its a little sore, but otherwise she is fine :)

Tough little chick! That's a nice looking shiner. Maybe she'll grow up to be a boxer :)

Or maybe an Ultimate Fighter, no holds contender. Taking on a bigger faster opponent without fear! :)

It's amazing how tough and resilient little ones are.

Tough little girl you have Amber. She is going to need it, now that she will be the middle child. Now starts the stories, you should see the other kid; there was ten of them and just little 'ol me. :D

I didn't get my first one until my 30's. Boxing. :D

well 44 years old i'm happy to say i never got one,but i'm sure if i ever were to get one i would cry alot longer than your tough daughter,maybe in a few months she will be able to ride that dog around the yard like a great dane horse,then who has the last laugh.

Oh I think there will be lots of other things, children are that way. It's always some thing, being any number of things, like a kid's fight or a flat tire on their bike.

I promise you Amber, those hard knocks are harder on Mama then baby. Hope she heals fast poor little dear.

She's probably proud of it by now and disappointed its going away.

lol Well her dad is hoping she'll grow up to race cars and play rugby and lacrosse.. I'm not so sure tho. I think both my girls will be more into riding horses and buying clothes LOL Cause they are both into that already!! :p

awwww bless her heart, she is so pretty, shiner or not! I got my first black eye at 4, hit with a bat by a neighbor kid, it was all down hill after that lol think I had a broken bone of some sort all through school lol
