    Mowing the Yard????

I went home yesterday from work with very good intensions. It was time to mow the yard. I went out back and Joy mentioned that there was some pretty good light, "didn't I want to take some pictures?". It least that's the way I choose to remeber it. At any rate I grabed the D70 and preceded to document the ongoing saga of the back yard. My little world is pretty limited, but it seems there is always something going on. Here are a few of my images from yesterday evening. Oh and yes I did get the yard mowed before the sun went down. Don't you just love daylight savings time.

    Wow!!

I can't stop looking at those photos! They're truly fabulous!!

I'm so impressed. Weren't you scared of the wasps / huge bees?

I'm considering buying a D70, and sheesh. If I can make my camera do this, I think I'll faint.

Did you photoshop it? Is that a stupid question? Apologies in advance!!

Thanks, you are very kind in your remarks. There is very little photoshop some level adjustment and USM and of course some crop and resize for posting on the web of the images. I'm not very good with photoshop, so I don't do much with it. I have found the D70 to be a very fine tool, however the place to put your money is in the lens. Quality glass is the best investment you can make. These were taken with the Nikkor 105mm f2.8.

    Talking Re: Mowing the Yard????

    Wow is right!

They're all really nice. However the first one is my favorite! This should be hanging on my wall, come to think of it. Yellow is my favorite color - I love the composition and the color and ..... everything about it. Some nice yard work! ;)

Well I'd give Joy that kiss anyway, but I will let her know that you had suggested it and I might even get an extra or two. Thanks, glad you liked the photos. It's time we were seeing more from you and that F5 isn't it?

    Re: Mowing the Yard????

So sell one of those great shots and use the money to hire a kid to do the lawnmowing. Your time is better spent with an eye in the viewfinder - any kid can mow a lawn.

    Beautiful work.

    Re: Mowing the Yard????

That first one's a beauty OT! I know how easy it is to spend hours in the garden or yard just shooting the "society" back there. Puts things in perspective for a guy who gets caught up in the rat race sometimes

    Nice work!
