More punk rock photography - a gallery of 3200 ISO......
Tried out the 10D's 3200 iso setting for the first time tonight.

These are either a Sigma 105mm macro, or a Canon 17-40L. Monopod only, most at 1/13th or 1/30th shutter. No flash, of course. I am gonna be ordering the 70-200L IS canon in the beginning of june.. would have made this shoot alot better. I like these shots though.

Great colors from those multiple light sources. #1 has a really wild effect with the movement from the guitarist. You should contact the band...I think they would really like these shots.

two shots with accentuated movement are really great.
actually, when you shoot something like this, the wide your lens, the better results are because short lenses provide for much more dynamic perspective than long ones. of course you have to move in real close, but there is just no comparison between wideangle and telephoto concert photos.
i know, this is hard to believe, but i managed to do some concert shooting with 14mm, here for instance:

Thanks for the comments. Part of the problem with our theater is that we are severly under-lit, there's only about 12 cans on the whole show... should be more like 36.

I might see if the band wants any, but these aren't types of bands that "pay" for things... pretty small time.

BTW they are shot at mine and my cousins theater here in Utah, www.theelectrictheater.com if anyone wants to check it out. Someday we'll have decent lighting.
