More band photos...
Here's just a few more from Thursday night. I converted some to B/W just to see how they looked, and I liked them so I've included them as well.
#1 same guitarist from the first band (the warmup band).
#2 Lead guitarist (l) and lead singer (r) for Rolling Blackouts
#3 Lead guitarist for Flogging Molly.
#4 Violinist for Flogging Molly

Re: More band photos...
Check out my competition's pictures at http://www.sbsun.com/. We got to talking and it turned out she was sporting (I think she said) a Nikon D2H or D2X and a Canon 1D and a few VERY nice lenses. Not a fair fight!

Ray,
Great shots again! And for the competition...meh, they're comparable to yours. Well done!

Re: More band photos...
You're too nice, Jared! I think she took some really excellent photos as well. But the one difference I can see in her photos is that it appears to me she didn't have to strugge with the light issue as I had to. By that I mean she really benefitted from better gear like faster lenses and I think the difference is apparent in that regard, especially on the close up photos. How I would have loved to use the gear she had but heck, I'd have to take out a second mortgage to just afford that kind of equipment, lol.

Re: More band photos...
Ray,
Ah...I doubt it would be worth the second mortage *laugh*:D I'm guessing you couldn't use flash? Always tough with stage lighting, that's why I prefer black and white if I'm doing theatre or concerts...just easier IMO.

Re: More band photos...
Nope, flash is a no no, especially when we were in such close proximity to the band members, literally right under them. But it's okay...I'm happy with how many of my photos turned out. One of these days I'll have the camera and lens of my dreams. Of course I may be 60 or 70 by then...but I'll have it!! :)
