Thought I would get out tonight and try to catch the moon. The last two nights it has been really BIG and RED.
The first one I was trying for a rising moon effect but my shots of the moon didn't come out the sharpest. You only get one chance at these kinds of shots, so you either make it or you don't. I didn't quite make it. Still, it was a neat idea to try.
The second one was shot down one of Banning's main arteries, Wilson St., on the northern side of town. This was actually two exposures...one metered for the moon and the other for the street lamps. Converted to b/w since the street lamps gave off a reddish color but the moon had lost its red color by the time I took this picture.
The third one was shot just north of Palm Springs near Interstate 10 at sunset, before the moon pics. These are the same windmills that Rick shot through his windshield on his way to LA.
