    Missing You
I was out of town for 3 1/2 days last week, for a continuing education workshop in Statesville (300 miles from home). When I had signed up for it, the wife was planning on going with me. Then she took a new job, and she can't take leave for the first six months, so I had to go alone.

Of course I took my camera and my tripod, so Tuesday night, I set it up, took this self portrait, downloaded it onto her laptop, and emailed it to her. I titled the email "Missing You". She really liked it. So much so, that she showed it to every woman in the Health Department, with a "look at my man" attitude.

She also suggested that I post it on PR.

BTW, she has signed up on PR as well. So she's out there lurking, watching, and perhaps adding a critique or two...

    Nice try Adina!

But I know that deep down, you're wishing you could have taken that photo.

    ;-)

Or at a minimum, that your man would do that for you....

    :-D

Then again, not every man could pull this off. A few could. Brad Pitt comes to mind...

    Hehehehehe.

Sorry buddy. Hate to do that to you, but a man's got to do, what a man's got to do.

The wife said post it, so I posted it.

Think of it as inspiration for when you're away from your wife.

She will appreciate it, knowing that you're thinking of her.

I guess I could have put up a warning about "implied" nudity, but there isn't any nudity here.

A brave man? I must be to take the abuse I take. And yes, I knew the abuse was coming before I ever posted this shot. My friends on PR do not disappoint me....

    Thanks for the comments.

Down here at school, the running gag is if no one shows up for the cheerleaders, dancers, etc car wash, I will take my shirt off. So far the threat has worked and I haven't had to get anyone sick. Speed, you are a much less inhibited man than I.

Yes you are! The queen herself. If I could make my self portraits look as good as yours, I'd post more shots of my face and wouldn't have to go the risque route.

"But if I were hairy like that, I'm sure I'd get the same reaction" :D

Any woman that hairy would surely get the same reaction! Ugh!

Ironically, I'm really not that hairy. I don't know where the hairy patch on my lower belly comes from. No one else in the family has it. And I know I'm not adopted because I look too much like my dad. (I know what you were thinking...)

...I will take my shirt off.
"Speed, you are a much less inhibited man than I."

The trick to show what you want people to see (or think they are seeing). The wife has told me that several of her co-workers have made comments about me having a "six pack". They obviously haven't seen me in a swimsuit!

When I was 30 I was in great shape. At 35 I looked better than most guys 10 years younger than me. At 40 I still looked good for my age, but I wasn't working out like I used to. I'm now 45, and I really need to get back to working out...

The photo was meant to to tease, amuse, and entertain the wife while I was out of town. She's gotten a lot of mileage out of it, and even considered making it her desktop.

    :-O

    Thanks for the comments buddy!

Welcome aboard Dawn. I'm sure Robert shares many of these threads with you but it's nice to know you are here of your own accord and can now defend and protect your man against the constant abuse he is subjected to here on PR. Love the screen name you have earned it if we can believe Speed about all the hard work you have put in. Hope to see more post by you here on viewfinder. I hope Speed has reserved a camera for your use so we can start to enjoy some of your images as well. Just try to refrain form turning it in his direction too often. He does enough of that for both of you.

Welcome, Dawn! Glad to have you around here too.

Troy, part of the price of surfing at work is stuff like this. First time I clicked on the thread fortunately there was nobody else in the room or I'd have a lot of explaining to do... Couldn't find that Red "X" fast enough! The funny thing about it is that I'm using a Mac at home now and it's on the left instead of the right. Had a split second of panic looking for it on the left and it wasn't there! Oh, the humanity... :blush2:
