    My wife's New Car

My wife's X-Terra lost an engine almost a year ago. The cost of repairs was going to be almost as high as what the car was worth. So we go out Monday to look at cars. The first lot we pull up on and the first car we look at we buy. Impulse buying at it's best. This is an 05 Toyota Matrix. We have been feeding my Durango enough in gas money to make the payments on this. It's got more room than one would think too. Me, 6"2", my wife and two cars seats in the back and we are comfortable. With enough room in the hatch for a couple of suit cases and a camera bag.

Nice looking ride Greg. As long as the camera bag has permanent place to ride than all is right with the world. I can still remember my kids complaining about it being under there feet. I'd just tell them their feet didn't reach the floor anyway so stop complaining.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Nice ride and the pic is superb!

My husband is 13 inches taller then me. You tall guys make it so hard to buy cars. He fits in nothing I like.

Never seen a pic of hubby but now I'm starting to get an idea where those boys get their size. My wife and I never have to move the seat when we change drivers. One of the advantages of marrying a woman that is only slightly taller than you.

    Greg,

Nice shot, Nice car - I know the problem with height differences - I nearly break my knees every time Helen doesn't push the seat back for me to get in.

I'll have to post a pic sometime of us. I'm 5'4" and he's 6'5". My boys most definitely get their size from their Dad. Our youngest boy is on the road to be 6' 7". It will be fun to watch if he gets bigger then his older brothers.

That's funny you and your wife can keep the carseat in the same position. After my husband or my oldest son have drove and I get in my feet do not even reach the pedals. lol

    Re: My wife's New Car

Hey, that's a cute car, Greg! Congratulations. I've always enjoyed it myself when we've had to look for a new car, but we're not as impulsive as you, LOL.

Right now the wife and I are considering our next vehicle. Do we want something economical and sporty, like a Mini-Coop with all the options, or do we want another 4x4, like the new Jeep Wrangler? We're not sure yet, but the pendulum is swinging toward the Jeep more and more.

Thanks everyone, Yes OT the Olympus goes everywhere I do, almost.
Roger I know the feeling. When you are tall your options are limited.
Ray I usally am not an impulse buyer, quite the opposite. I usally study on something this big for weeks on end. I hope to get years of service out of it. Most cars I own, I drive them until I have to have them towed home.

    Nice ride Greg,

My mother-in-law and a brother-in-law both drive a Toyota Matrix. They've both had good luck and seem to like them a lot.

Gotta have room for the camera bag! That's usually one of the first bags I take to the car when we're traveling.
