    Merry Christmas

I hope you all had a great Christmas. Sorry I missed Channukah this year. I need my Jewish friends to remind me, please!

Anyway, here's how I spent my bachelor Christmas. I didn't get any turkey. But I did get a mouthful of fresh snow

How long till you guys start complaining about ski photos?

    Re: Merry Christmas

Happy and Merry everything to everyone. I'm a Christmas kind of guy myself. Was over at my in-laws for the last two days, left my father in-law at the hospital waiting to have his gall bladder removed. Took a few family shots. John, I love your ski shots because as I've said, it's the only way I'll get near that much snow again on purpose.

It was cold on Christmas day. When I left Alta my car thermometer said it was 6 degrees (Fahrenheit). My toes and fingers were cold.

Have you been out to take pictures yet? Wanna go for a little hike late this afternoon?

Nice. We had a bit of a white Christmas with flurries that stuck for half the day. Skiing sure sounds good with Hood in my backyard.

Well that was into the decline of the Roman empire, wasn't it?

I don't see convincing evidence for it, nor does Pope Benedict.
Documented celebration of Christ's birthday on December 25 dates to 243 AD before dies natalis Solis Invicti was first documented on December 25 354.

Figures, the one day I didn't check the thread

I've been shooting a lot the past few days, both family stuff & I've been mostly around Provo canyon & Utah lake out shooting. I might go out later today, but I'm sorta coming down with a cold, so I'm not sure yet

Its gonna be freezin tonite when we leave, since our train leaves at 11:30pm tonite. I'll be spending my time sat on the train editing photos, so I'll be posting a bunch probably Sun/Mon.

I need a lot of things

I actually just bought those Elans. They're my all mountain compromise for the season. I bought 'em used for $300. So far, so good. We'll see how the rest of the season goes. Maybe next year I'll get some used fatties.

It has been pretty good so far I'm already getting spoiled. I would have gone this morning but there wasn't any fresh stuff

    Re: Merry Christmas

Hey, haven't been around for a few days, so here's a late Merry Christmas and an early happy new year. I want to be back in SLC. All the snow here at home is just blowing around. And they don't plow the road up to the area I ski here. So I've got to wait for this storm to blow over before my car can get up there.
