I feel like there's a backstory here that I'm not privy to. The textures are nice but the title leaves me hanging.

Roberto Matta. Brilliant surrealist painter. Probably the best of the bunch actually. A book of his works. Not a lot of his stuff available despite his brilliance. Next to a cigar. Try smoking a cigar in public outside wyoming or texas. Go ahead I dare you.

Yes I am a phillistine cigar smoker, but I still like Matta who is more brilliant than yo mama no matter who yo mama is. Complicated.

I realize people don't really get my titles. Complete free association on my part. It confuses me, so why not you?

i'm his momma - and i'm mean - so be careful (heh heh)

    i grew up about 40 mi. from Cheyenne, but it was in CO - i did not smoke any ceegars . . . but . . . i guess i didn't know what i was missing . . . i did go to rodeos . . .

i like what i can see of Matta's work on the book cover . . . i went to Spain and just wanted to hang out in the museum looking at Dali paintings for the rest of my life . . .

His best work is geometric, luminous, and biological all at the same time.
