Lynnwood, Washington's Show
A few from the show in Lynnwood. Not much for a foreground and a little too close shooting at 17mm on my rebel XT.
Comments welcome, Jimmy B

Nice work. The sky is what sets these apart. Wonderful tones.

Hey, Jimmy! They look good to me. Like Rick, said, the sky still having a little light makes these unique.
Re: Lynnwood, Washington's Show
Nice going Jimmy. You are proving to be a photographer of many skills.
Re: Lynnwood, Washington's Show
These are amazing Jimmy! The color of the sky was the first thing I noticed, but I just sound like a parrot. :D
Re: Lynnwood, Washington's Show
Thanks ALL. First time in over 20 years that I have tried shooting fireworks.

You're not too close until the bits that come down are still burning when they hit you :)
Having been under displays like that, and a few feet form the mortar tubes I appreciate how close you were !
Getting close rather than the usual far back with a long lens approach gives a different perspective that as an ex-pyrotechnician I rather like.
Re: Lynnwood, Washington's Show
Very nice, Jimmy. Looks to me like you were "just right". Keep it up.
Re: Lynnwood, Washington's Show
I agree with the others on the lighting of the sky. Did you do anything specifically to get the lighting or did this just work out that way? Nice shots.

Re: Lynnwood, Washington's Show
As far north as Lynnwood/ Seattle is the sky is usually that bright when it is clear out. It is still light out until 9:30 at night for another couple of weeks.Lynnwood is about 20 miles north of Downtown Seattle.
