Lowe Pro's Questionable Quality..
I thought that I should share this experience with everyone. If not to at least put the word out, but to put a fire under lowe pro (if they happen to be looking though these forums) .
I've had a lowe pro mini trecker that's about 3-4 years old which I've been quite happy with. Recently I decided to upgrade to a slightly bigger bag and ordered the lowe pro nature trecker awII.
Being there isn't a decent store locally I ordered via the web.
The first bag I recieved had a major flaw. The interior depth varied from 5" on the left bottom to 4" on the right bottom, and 6" along the top! I thought that this was just a fluke, it happens, and sent it back for an exchange.
The next bag the interior depth was equal all the way around. However, it was about 1/4-1/2" shallower than specified. All the dividers are taller than the depth of the bag. M wife is trying to get me to keep this one since it's "close." I'm still deciding.
At this point, whether or not I keep the bag, I'm really dissapointed with Lowe Pro. So much so, that I really doubt I could ever buy another one of their products.
The best part is we got this cool tool called the "web" which I can share my experience with lots of people. Hopefully this can influence enough peoples decision in buying a lowe pro bag that it hits them in their wallet. That is the only means by which they will make an effort to improve their quality.

What was up with the first bag. Second I don't mind
You definitely did the right thing in returning the first bag. That was way off, I'm surprised to hear about the low quality. But the second doesn't bother me as much. I actually like when the pads are a bit longer than the bag because it gives more support in the middle of the bag too.
I have a couple bags and love them. Rain, sleet, snow, desert. If it can hang with me in those situations, I've got a bag for life.
