Yeah but she concerns herself with the more important things in life like clubbing, drinking and finding a pair of flip flops to match each of her bikini's! (And, yes, I AM SERIOUS!)

WOW, Those are the 2 pieces of gear that are on the top of my list!! I can't wait to see some high ISO shots with the 40D. If you have the time, post some sample pics between the 40D and your other body!

    Who's a lucky girl then?
Husbands like that are hard to find.

It's going to be interesting to see what you do with that longer lens, after the 50mm

I want to hear about the dust reduction on the 40D, because I'm fighting the crud on my 1DmkIIN and 1DSmkII.

I'd consider a 40D to replace the 20D to get the 1.6x crop on the 400m just for the dust replacement, even though I'm not as scared of cleaning that system as the 1D series

    Alison,,well done!!

BTW,,I resigned from my postion at Fairfax Newspapers on 8th August and had to surrender my equipment :cryin:

Canon 20D, Canon 30D, 2 x 580Ex Flashes, Canon 16-35 f2.8L, Canon 70-200 f2.8L, Canon 50 f2.5 Macro, Tamron 14mm f2.8, Canon TC 1.4 Teleconverter, Toshiba Portege Laptop plus the use of a locker full of specialist lenses.

I'm gonna miss this kit but I still have my trusty 350D plus assorted lenses. Amanda and I are off to the Tibetan Autonomous Region in China for 12 to 18 months.

I'll keep this gallery updated as we go as a means of communication. Leave a message or two,,it will be great to hear from you.
