    The Lizard Thread
Ok, I have never seen anyone do this before. I want to see lizards. I know not everybody lives in an area with them all around, but a lot of us do. Here are a few I shot yesterday to start things off.

The Brown Anole, Anolis sagrei, is an invasive species introduced from the Bahamas. They are driving out the Green Anole, Anolis carolinensis, which is the only species native to North America.

Here is an older picture of a Green Anole, for reference. I very rarely see these anymore, however when I was young they were the predominant species here. Over the past 20 years they have been pushed out more and more by the more aggressive Browns.

Nice photos and a tough and worthy subject!. But do you think that maybe this should be on the Nature forum? It's your choice, though :)

There are lizards here. I will endeavor to get some photos! Thanks for the challenge.

    Thanks John!

I think you are right. This should have been on the Nature side. You can move it there if you want. Might even get more traffic there.

I look forward to seeing some Western Lizards!

looks like a fence lizard to me, sceloperus sp. There are a lot of different ones out west, and I couldn't tell you which one it is off the top of my head. Looks like undulatus though.

    Here's a couple of additions.

    cnemodophorus sexlineatus viridis
