    A little baseball
Trying out the D70 on some high school baseball last week. It's not the perfect camera for sports action but it sure beat what I was trying to shot with the Fuji S602Z. If I could just afford to shot with the F2 and the motor everything would be fine, but I was never able to afford the film and processing cost to let that motor rip the way it is capable of doing. At any rate what do you think of these. Shot at ISO 400 at 1/1000 at f5.6 with Sigma 80-300 APO.

    Hadn't thought about...
Hadn't thought about that, I was just out having fun. It is so nice to be able to go out and shoot a 150 frames and not worry about film cost and processing, I'm having a ball with it.

You've caught the classic action: the pitch, connecting with the bat, and a play on the field. Excellent exposure and good color...guess you are enjoying the D70. :-)

    Thanks Charles
Thanks Charles for the comments. I tried to get a sample of the different aspects of the game. I was pretty pleased for the first time out to shoot some faster action with the D70. As I said earlier it isn't a sports photographers dream camera, but for the price and taking into account what else is available, it's not that bad. Now I'm going to get on the phone to B&H and pick up some better glass to go with it.
