    Lightning Shots
Took these during a serious storm down in Texas last week. Took alot of patience but I finally got the balance right for some of the pictures to come out.

I'm too much of a fraidy cat...
to do this kind of work!
I think my favorite is #2 - I like the composition and the lightening going across the sky - thought I'm sure it's a bit hard to control! :)

    Hey nice shots..
Hey nice shots. Very difficult subject matter. The part of Texas I was in last week hadn't seen rain in a month or so. The closes we got to anything like this was above it in the plane as we were aproaching Nashville on our way back. Watching the lighting from the plane fascinated my daughter and I'll have to admit it was pretty awesome to behold.

    I get very frustrated...
When I see photos of lightning.. This is one of those subjects that I've always wanted to photograph, but living in Southern CA, I NEVER get to see lightning.

Regardless of my frustration, these are all nice captures. Thanks for sharing them!

I was visiting Texas for the week and the mount of lighting was absolutely amazing. It really didn't rain a whole lot where I was but there were some times when lighting was striking from three different directions and I could choose which way to aim the camera.

In the middle of one of these storm I saw a really great shot that unfortunately came and went too quickly for a real good shot. There were double rainbows in the sky one above the other. The bottom one was so narrow that I could see the entire thing and it appeared to be about a mile across. Unfortunately it was too close and even my 17-40 was no where near wide enough to get the whole thing. I will try to post some of what i got later tonight that show the two rainbows.

Thanks to everyone for the comments.
