Reading this made me wonder what was left of my flowers. Thought this poor little guy's last gasp was kinda nice. He pretty well defines "last of the season"

Thanks guys, its actually an apple bloom of one of my 20 year old apple bonsai which is one of my hobbies.
I really like that shot Kerriann, though it would have been nice to have gotten all the pettles in focus. just my opinion.

I've been taking macro shots of flowers most of this summer, and now have a collection that I'm hoping to sell through my friend's florist shop. I've been using my old Zenit 12XP with a couple of macro extension tubes screwed on behind my standard lens. You get lovely shallow depth of field with them.

I've uploaded 2 onto the macro projects album, and hope to add more soon but it takes so long - actually I'm finding this site very slow to navigate (I'm on a dial-up connnection and have a rather slow PC, so please bear with me).

Here's my Hibiscus in Water, photographed floating in a pool with a fountain spraying it. Sorry about the black line at the top, it's down to the scanning and I've not sorted it yet.

Thanks for the post AnutieP. It is so nice to be able to have a place to catch a nice new flower everyday or so.

    Sorry it took so long...
Here is my contribution - these were on a bush on Shelter Island, Aug. 14. Many other clumps were already past their primes. Holga with 400 Portra VC.

Thanks guru, yeah they are gorgeous flowers.

And i love the before and after from Jakkar, though they seem a little dark on my monitor, but that is just my taste.
