    Re: L.A. Photogathering pics

I should have my roll of Fuji Neopan 100 developed by mid next week. I have a few photos on that roll from the LA photogathering. Had to wait till I finished the roll before I could bring it in for processing, and that took me another couple of weeks to do. So hopefully I'll have some decent b/w pics to show next week.

Ray, we're on similar paths. I actually picked up a roll of 120 with some Josh Tree pics on them just today. Unless there's some gathering pictures on my 35mm roll however, I'm afraid I'm out of gathering pics! It's all you buddy!

Yeah, the photos on this roll will be the very last of my photogathering pics, and I think there are probably no more than 5 or 6 of them. That is, if they turned out. And if I am not mistaken, there is one of you on this roll when we sat down in the market, hehe.

BTW, you never posted that wide angle shot of me. Should I be glad?

    Re: L.A. Photogathering pics

Okay folks, here's the rest of my images from the LA photogathering. These were shot with my Canonet using Fuji Neopan 100, which I kinda like but I still want to try Neopan 400. Can't remember any of my settings for these shots (I've got to start writing them down!!). All images just needed a slight levels adjustment in PS.

The first is what I think is a great picture of Rick, except for the blown highlights to the left. But Rick looks great! Nice and casual.

Next, downtown buildings shot from outside the Market. As you tell from the tops of the building cut off, I'm still trying to get used to the viewfinder on this camera.

Here's a nice shot of Loren and John. I'm sure they were talking some serious photography stuff. Notice the Bradbury building in the background.

Now a shot from inside the Bradbury building. I kinda like how this one of the elevator shaft came out.

And finally, a shot of the clock inside Union Station. Unlike my Digital Rebel, I am unable to zoom in on objects with this camera. But I like the effect the window has on the image as a whole. Let's one know where the light is coming from.

Thanks Ray! I like that shot of me! At your request, I will return the favor by posting my rather unflattering portrait of you

Great shots! I'm glad you're liking that little camera!

LOL...I love that picture. I look so goofy. Kinda like one of those caricature drawings!

Glad you liked yours too. I thought it complimented you quite well. I should have moved to the left, though. At least the exposure was tack on!

Thanks for giving this a bump, Eric! It's really good to see the faces and photos in this thread. I'm glad it's not permanently buried. That was a fun get-together. It's about time we do it again, don't you think?

Wow, was that really back in '06? Amazing how time flies. I'd love to do it again, IF I was still living in soCal. If would be fun, though, to see a new L.A. photogathering thread.

We wouldn't have to do one in LA again. LA folks can do that if they want. We should do one somewhere else - Tahoe? I don't think we've ever done that.

ooh, I've never been to Tahoe, believe it or not. That would be a nice place for a photogathering, provided we could muster up enough people to come.
