    Karmic light?
Or just a jacked up photo.. You decide! ;)

I was just messing around with slow sync flash and decided to give the camera a little twist.

The second shot is just a straight shot, nothing strange about it. Well, except for the guy that took it!

    Hey Brian,

It's always cool to see folks trying different effects. This one is neat, and I'm already wondering what I can try it on. Thanks for stimulating the ole neurons!

Yeah, the slow sync and rear sync flash options are fun little features that I haven't played with near enough. Now that I have the D100 (which is what these were shot with) I have NO MORE EXCUSES!!!

Thanks for taking the time to comment and for sharing one of yours!

    Brian,

One can do some really cool stuff with slow or second curtain sync. Just last Saturday DSL712 and I used the technique a lot for a wedding out on Lake Michigan. Properly exposed people in the foreground, blurred cityscape in the background. Same thing could be done for any nighttime portrait where the background and foreground flash need to be balanced.

Nice placement of the 1gig card by the way. ;)

    Take care friend.

Yeah, you have NO idea how much Lexar is paying me for including the card in my image.. :D

I'd like to see some of the images from that wedding.

I will post some as soon as I find the time. Tonight I'm going to a baseball game, tomorrow I have two news assignments, then a graduation, and going paintballing on Sunday, I MIGHT have time Monday night after I finish work at the car dealership. :D

Yet somehow I still manage to get sleep.

In all seriousness, I just finished the first edit batch last night. Picked 220 shots out of over 800. I will post my favorites from the 220, I hope Dennis will do the same, same with his wife. There were three of us working it. It was a total blast, the bride was unebelievably laid back. Dennis shot film, and seemed happy doing it. It was a weird night. ;)
