Just Vote
I don't care who you vote for -- just vote. For either side, this is the most important election in our lifetime.

Re: Just Vote
I will be placing my vote tomorrow immediately after work. Not simply for who is to be president, but California has some VERY important ballot measures that need every resident's attention. I'm voting no to any new taxes, no to anything that has to do with Indian gaming, no to funding stem cell research, no to limitations on the three strikes law, no to health care coverage requirements, and no to anything that lets the gov't spend millions more of our tax money and put our state deeper in debt. Only very few of the measures on the ballot are actually worthy of my "yes" vote.

Hopefully it's an informed decision - whatever it is - but yes, just vote! :)

Voted!
Let's hope we don't have to wait until February to know who our President is.

Re: Just Vote
Sent my absentee in last week. I don't really understand how anyone would pass up the oppurtunity to vote...

Re: Just Vote
The more people who vote the better. There will be cases of fraud and irregularities for sure but more people voting will make those instances statistically less significant.

I would like to vote for the Chef from the South Park. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to be on the ballot...
And I have strong doubts this is the most important election of my lifetime.

Heard an interview with George Carlin yesterday, and he says he doesn't vote. I was surprised and disappointed. His point was (highly paraphrased) that no matter who you vote for, no real change will happen. I guess I'm just an optimist then...

Agreed!
And doesn't the last election of 4 years ago better qualify as "most important election of our lifetime?" You know, perhaps if the "other guy" was elected things wouldn't have worked out the way they have and this election wouldn't seem such a big deal?
I'm really looking forward to the polls tonight though.
There was a South Park episode on a few nights ago that spoofed the way many Americans feel about the two main candidates. The kids in South Park school had to vote for a new mascot. Their choices for the new mascot were a "giant douche" or a "terd sandwich". One of the kids woudln't vote (Kyle I think) so his parents and the town banished him for not exercising his most sacred of rights. When asked why he woudln't vote by the town his response was "I don't see why it's such a big deal! Either I vote for a giant douche or a terd sandwich!"
I thought it was pretty darn funny and kinda hit home. In case you're wondering who I'm voting for tonight, it's the terd sandwich.

Re: Just Vote
After the last election, someone made a point that got stuck in my head...
Okay, so everyone says go out and vote, it's your chance to make your voice heard. Every vote counts!
Well, last election, they proved that every vote doesn't count. I'm sure the people in Flordia whose votes got "disqualified" or whatever term it was they used, really feel like they made a difference and that their votes were important.
I voted this morning anyway.
