just a snapshot in downt town pdx

Out and about with the family over the weekend.
    Totally dry sunday...snowed yesterday!
This scene would look much different if taken today!

Jamison Square, downtown PDX, in the Pearl district on Sunday,
outside of Sips N Krans where we enjoyed hot apple ciders...

Just great to see you posting. Hope to see more of your images. I know the relocation takes a little time to get use to, but your photos and input here on a regular basis are definitely missed.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Were is the snow... I guest it was taken before the snow and bumper cars. One weather person got it correct but the City and Bus went with a different weatherman, and got pie in face. It started snowing about 6 am, by the time I finished unlocking at 7:30 we had 1.5 inches on the ground (very dry). There was a bus cross ways on the very small incline in front of my work. Both my student workers were late also. It went down hill from there. It took me 2 hours (and a 20 block walk) to get home after the University was closed. Of course I didn't have a camera! The photo is from my front porch.

PS snow 1/16/07, schools closed today 1/17/07

i am out and about every weekend, plenty to shoot here, love portland... without sounding too much a traitor, i *almost* feel the same way about it as i do sf.
i waited 5 long years to move here, so thoroughly enjoying it all.

    Works for me!

Good to see you back. Crazy winter everyone here in the US is having, no doubt about it.

So you like Portland, huh? We've been thinking about some place to go for a long weekend in the spring. Probably not the best time to visit, but it seems like spring is not the best place to go anywhere. Austin TX is a good choice and a contender...

Have you seen or heard of Anthony Bourdain's TV show "No Reservations"? I watch it when I can and the last one was on Portland and Seattle. Having been to neither of these two cities and judging from only that show, I'd vote for Portland.

Like I said before, the only snow I like to see is guarded by coasties Sector Miami Base, or when you guys post your shots. I just checked my weather statiion on the roof, it's down to 73.2. I love it.

That sounds so good, as it was very busy at work. They are typing to make up for the two days of snow.

busted a couple of lenses on the n80

    You WHAT??!!

    OK, give us the details.

Relocating is always tough, but it's good to see that you're still shooting. And now you've got lots of new stuff to shoot! Looking forward to seeing it.

She has a lot of BAD art ( public paid for art) and some good art to take photos of.

No it happens only on the FIRST snow fall, the first day we get rid of all the drivers that think they can drive in the snow by CRASH. The second day you can drive all over town without getting hit. It doesn't help that we only get snow only once or maybe twice in the winter :wink5:
