Just saying Hello

I've just found and joined this forum today. I'm impressed with all the info and more than a little daunted by the quality of photos being posted. So, anyhow.. I'll be around reading and reading and reading more until I get up to speed then I'll pester you all with questions and inflict some of my photos on you.

I'm pretty new to this and using a pair of digital cameras. A Pentax Optio 450 as a pocket camera and a Pentax *ist D S with the stock lens plus an old Tokina 80-200 zoom off the Pentax K1000 I used to have.

I primarily shoot outdoors trying for shots of birds and animals with shots of whatever catches my eye as I walk the trails.

Welcome! Glad to have you. Don't feel nervous here. This is the nicest group of photographers you'll find on the Internet. We're all about taking pictures and learning, not trying to tell each other how much we know and who ahs the better camera. There are plenty of other sites for the people who want to do that
