Judging at the Horticultural show
Hi all
For the second year I was the judge of the photographic section of a local horticultural show. The nice thing about this little job is that you get to go in and see all the displays and entrants before it it open to the public - the only people there are fellow judges: wines, flowers, vegetables, jams, etc, as well as photographs. Here are a few I took this afternoon during that quiet time.
The first is of some floral displays with the judges oof in the background. The second is the flower judge examining some sunflowers. The third is the judging of the potted plant displays, and the fourth is the jam judging (sweet tooth required!).
Cheers
Mike
Re: Judging at the Horticultural show
The older Lady judging a flower arrangement is lovely-expression just right.
Re: Judging at the Horticultural show
The 3rd shot is great, the flower judge obviously taking her work very seriously. :-) Good shots, all.
Re: Judging at the Horticultural show
Don't know how I missed these, Mike.
I, too, really like the lady in the third one.
Re: Judging at the Horticultural show
These are very good, Mike. While I can very much appreciate the determination and concentration of the woman in the third shot, the first one really does it for me. It's creative use of dof and wonderful composition and color has me looking over again.
all very good and telling of some of the moments behind the scenes, so to speak.
I like the part about just the judges there alone . .with the wine did you say?!!
thanks for sharing this.
Re: Judging at the Horticultural show

I was thinking that this one had slipped under the radar!
Cheers
