Introduction

how's it going folks?

Just thought i'd say hello. I've recently joined this site to complement my recent acquisition of a DSRL.

i've always been an avid photographer (whether the pics were good or not is another matter) so i finally made the plunge and got a Canon 40d and i've found this forum to be a great help in understanding how to take more control of photography.

Looking forward to completing the challenges in the New to Photography section and learning from the knowledge that get in forums like this one.

Yes this is a great place to learn, just remember ask as many questions as you need to and post pictures, we always like to see pictures.... :D

Welcome to PR.com Peter, and congratulations on your choice of DSLR camera!
I thought long and hard about the 40D when I made the decision to step up from P&S cameras. I opted for an XSi/450D, after getting some very good advice here on both models from some of the members, as it was better suited to my budget.

Hello everyone. I've just joined the forum. Years ago I was a keen 35mm film buff. Always had Pentax cameras. Now I have time & want to get back into photography, have a compact digital & am looking at buying a digital slr so I'm keen to pick up knowledge & information.
