    Intro and a pic
I thought I'd (re)introduce myself and put a picture up while I'm at it. I have been a long-time viewer on the old board and only posted a handful of times and none recently. Now that the message board is on the new software, I might very well be inclined to participate a bit more often. Just wanted to congratulate John on the move. Looks great!

Here's a sunrise shot I took on Monday:

Awesome! Love the flatirons. I was born in Denver and lived my first three years right under them. I think Boulder is one of the best places on earth. And this photo is a really nice one. Perfect snow dusting and great light!

Are you aware that we've got a tight community of members in Colorado? I thinkn we've had three gatherings there and a bunch more little get-togethers. Anyway, welcome - again.

Just beautiful! Seeing stuff like that would make me move to landscape photography.

Welcome Darren! Beautiful photo. It makes me wish I were there!

It's a great time to join in more often. Hope to see more of your images. BTW, what camera, etc. are you using?

Look at his profile to find out what equipment he's using!

One of the benefits of the new system :-)

    Thanks, guys!

John, this was actually my first time shooting the Flatirons and really my first set of winter images as well, which I am very much lacking in, sadly enough. I got a few good shots from that morning. I am familiar with a number of the names of the CO folks and I remember when they had their first get-together a couple (few?) years back.

Penny, glad you like the site! Thanks!

Well, I'm heading out to the Great Sand Dunes tonight and camping for the weekend with a few other photo buddies. But, it's going to be cold! As in like lows around -5 and possible snow! I don't know if I'm quite ready for that, but if I'm able to move my fingers and manage to trip the shutter a few times, I'll post one when I get back.

    Happy shooting!
