    Jared... many thanks.
I just wish they were "better" shots
Atleast I have some time before the next event to learn from my mistakes.

Congratulations on the Publication. It's funny how sometimes the public sees great things in our personal dissappointments. You may have been late and rushed, but you captured the heart and soul of the event. Great work.

    Re: International Tap Day

Anytime. I've got a funny feeling that I'll be shooting a lot of tap in the coming year. My 9 year old just made pre something something Junior company for tap at Dance Empire, her school down in Miami. If you have a chance, check out the following and let me know what you think of my first attempt at studio dance shots. My wife picked these two out of the total shoot.

    Re: International Tap Day

    Michael,
Great job on those two shots. I like the second shot, however it lacks detail in her face, but maybe that is just from uploading to the web? I almost always prefer dancers to be shot out of element like you've done in the second (looks out of doors).
The first one is also great, and you did a fantastic job keeping that jacket from blowing out. Those costumes are highly reflective and awful to shoot.
My problems are always in the Dance Studio, with all of the mirrors, poor lighting and almost always white walls... I would say almost every shot I've done in a dance studio is grainy. So that is my
    major battlefield right now.

PS- congrats to your daughter... tap rocks! (Im a tap teacher)

Thanks, both shots were done in my studio, seamless white on the jacket and a painted gray muslin on the other.
