I think I finally got my 4 Seasons.
I have been fooling with this for a few years. I didn't want the compositions to be exactly the same or to shoot from the exact same spot. I wanted each image to work on its own as well as in the set.

I took the fall color shot last week.

Now I can go shoot somewhere else!

FWIW 3 of them were shot with my Canon 5D and the summer sunrise was shot with the Olympus 420 and kit lens.

Yes you do! This is a harder project than it seems because so many times, there's something wrong with the conditions (overcast, too many people, etc) in the short amount of time that fall color is at its peak - and maybe the peak just isn't that good. Just takes sticking with it, and sometimes that means trying again the next year. Excellent work!

It didn't take as much dedication as you might think. I work less than a mile from there and took all of these (and plenty more) on my way to work in the morning. Plus it sure is a sweet spot to just sit and watch the sunrise.......

OTOH that snowy morning sure was cold!

No doubt about you nailing them all, but for my money the last one takes the prize.

Beautiful. I love these kinds of projects...

But no, your work is not done! I'm afraid you need eight more shots so you can put together your calendar... :cryin:

MB1, I'm jealous you actually HAVE four seasons there!! Such a beautiful collection-thank you for sharing! It really makes me want to start a project like this! Hopefully moving to Eastern Texas will be a motivation! In Northern California we have summer (dried up and brown) and then about 2 months of straight rain, and then about a month of chilly green. It's pretty ridiculous!!

Lovely set of photo's. I'm with Steve - you only need 9 more - 8 for the months and one for
    the cover.

Very nice. Reminds me of some of Monet's work.

ive been looking at this set for a while now. i think all 4 images are great photos. however i keep comming back and wishing the winter one was stronger. at first i thought they were all TO similar in comosition, but as ive looked back over them, the winter one might be to different from the other three, or just doesn't seem as strong as the others.

i don't know if its the footprints, the fencing and hand rail on he left, if the lack of reflection ( all three others have one), or if the morning light makes it feel to warm.

but it does fit it with the theme.
