I've already put 150 miles on it! Went for a ride last night with my buddy Brian. And looking forward to many more. :-)

I don't want to ride anymore to be honest with you, but look out if I get on a rice rocket ;)

QUITE THE NICE FRIEND YOU HAVE BTW!

Yeah, Brian is quite a guy. We think we are twins serparated by a time warp (he's four years older than me). We have so many things in common, it's not funny. We both have five kids, like astronomy (even have the same brand and size telescopes), scuba diving, photography, shooting, motorcycles, ...you get the idea.

Brian also informed me last night that Harley is now making a crotch rocket! I couldn't believe it. Apparently they are going after the bullet bike market as well. Interesting world we live in.

    It had crossed my mind!

    If I had bought a V65 Magna, then I definitely would. :-D

Looks like fun - always wanted a bike but I don't have the slightest idea when I'd have time to ride it. Too many other hobbies. It's this "job" thing, it takes up way too much time.

I got the story behind the bike. Turns out his wife bought it for him for Christmas. A few months later, he bought a bigger bike (1400cc) from a friend. She got her motorcycle license and she rode the Intruder - twice. She said when they rode seperately, he spent half his time looking over his shoulder making sure she was alright. It made her a nervous wreck, so she would just ride on his bike with him. The Intruder spent most of it's life in the garage.

And now you know...The Rest Of The Story.

Are you established in Arizona? All moved in and set up? It seems like forever since we heard from you buddy.

Thanks for the congratulations. I am a very loved, very spoiled man!

    And I know it!

My mom told Dawn I wasn't going to leave her, and she didn't have to bribe me. ;-)

The lovely wife suggested I get another motorcycle when the boy got his license, nearly two years ago. As you can tell, I haven't been in a hurry. Actually, I just hadn't found anything I liked, and I hadn't looked real hard either. When my buddy got a Harley V-Rod, I decided to start looking a little more seriously.

With the boy working, and running the road with his friends, Dawn and I have been sharing one car. Been a pain for her to get up and take me to work on her days off. (She works Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and half a day on most Saturday's.) Now she can sleep in. Also, when she's working on Saturday mornings, I won't be stuck at home without wheels.

The best part is, I knew the guy selling the bike, and he's the only owner. Check out the last photo and see if you're as stunned as we were.

Please pardon the quality of the photo's. They are quick grab shots so I could share the news with my PR family.

So, where do you put on the lens?

So your wife suggested that you buy a motorcycle? Further evidence to support your claim to be the luckiest man alive...

    Happy Father's Day.

    Happy Father's Day.

The camera, lenses, flash, etc, all go in the backpack, which I carry on my back! Works well, as long as it's not raining. I tried to beat the rain home on Friday. Got a little past half way there, then got wet. Between the silicon spray I put on the back, and it's design, on the exterior pouches got wet. The interior stayed dry and saved my camera and lenses. Only a 30% chance of rain on Friday mind you. I'm now thinking anything over 20% and the camera stays home when I'm on the bike! No need to tempt fate.

"Further evidence to support your claim to be the luckiest man alive..."

    Indeed! :-D

And a very spoiled man as well. ;-)

Hope your Fathers Day was as good as mine!
