I am stepping down as Mod

Unforunately, I made this announcement in the mod forum on the 1st April, so I am probably not being taken seriously. Not a good day to make an announcement like that I guess.

No other announcements have been made publicly, so, I thought I would make the announcement myself.

Almo hasn't been around for some time so I am not sure why his name is still at the top of the project forum. I have been going it alone for ages.

Modding here isn't difficult and doesn't take up much of my time to be honest but it's just another thing to add to my never ending "to do" lists. Which I am trying to reduce, including modding on other forums.

I want to focus more of my valuable time on my family, which as you know is huge, and still growing!

As for the Kodak POTD, you can't get one unless you enter one, and I don't always enter. In fact, I can't remember the last time I entered lol.

I entered 5, no luck so far.
But I'll try with some of the bird images I've been bombarding N&W with.

I have noticed they do themes. I mean, they had a whole month of green in March I believe. Possibly for St Patrick. So they are probably focusing on easter right now.

Summer birds and flowers may do the trick :)

So, who wants to be the Photo Project moderator? I think that section needs some polishing up, anyway. The only reason it's continued is that people like Alison have made it happen.

Alison ... how you manage to do anything at all is amazing, with all your family, your photography, and no doubt all the other things you do!

Frog is a very active and helpful member that has shown a lot of interest already in the Project forum by participating actively almost every month. He has always showed an interest in being part of the forums and I would like him to also be considered for Project Moderator. I think he would do an excellent job! Jeff

I think the combination of Mike and Frog co moderating would be a good idea.

Tom - I have written an email to him (albeit before the frog nomination). So I am expecting something in due course. I will send him a memo as well, adding frog to the mix.

Sorry to see you bowing out, Alison!!! But I know we'll still be seeing lots of you and your photos still around here. And since we have 2 wonderful volunteers who both have my vote, I know the forum will remain in great hands.

Thank you, Allison! You've been doing a fine job and I hope Mike and I can do so well.

Am I missing something? I have seen Frog & Mike recommended as moderators but have not seen anywhere that they accepted and were given the job. Is there an announcement I didn't see? I think they will do great but haven't seen anything saying that they actually got the job.

Alison, thanks for your great work in the past and if Frog & Mike get the job just keep in mind that it is taking two people to replace you, Jeff :D :D

I think we accepted in our responses but I have seen nothing that either or both of us have been drafted nor have I had any 'official' word.

It is now official! I got a memo from the captain offering the "job". I will memo him back to get details about it. Frog and myself will also be getting our heads together to see what we can bring to it - it will certainly be tough following a class act like Alison!
