How to find models?
I'm in the process of starting a business for portraits and sports photography. I'm trying to develop more of a portfolio for my studio work and am looking for models for said business portfolio and also just for personal creative shooting. (the kind of photos we as photographers enjoy but no one else really cares about)
I've already exhausted friends and family so I signed up on www.onemodelplace.com. It's a pay site and cost just $10 per year. I don't mind pay sites as long as they're not too expensive because then you know anyone who is there is at least a little serious. However their search features are horrible so I have to root through everyone in my state just to try to find models in my area. Are there any other sites out there that might be better?
It's also been suggested to me to try local colleges and offer maybe $25 per session for standard shots and $50 for nudes but I really don't want to pay anyone. I'm looking for people who want prints and are happy to give their time for a set of good photos.

Bands. They are always looking for free shots - trade for print baby! They are crazy most of the time and up for anything too!

You might try...
You might try www.craigslist.org too.
It is a bulletin board of sorts that lists all sorts of things.
It should have a listing for your city.
There several options you could list an ad for models.
Best of all..
It's FREE!

Re: You might try...
Thanks for the suggestions guys, keep them coming. I'm familiar with craigslist although it hadn't occurred to me to use it for this. The closest listing to me is Philly which is about an hour and half away. It's worth a shot though.

Re: How to find models?
Another site that you can sign up for (Free), and look for some people is at
www.musecube.com
I find that you will end up with some repeats from OMP, but there are ALOT of people on it that don't like OMP, and will not list themselves there.
There are alot of people out there looking for TFP, so stick with them.
