You're got the creativity part on the card just fine. The first thing I look for is that the person has invested serious time (and usually money) into his business.

You wouldn't want to spend any more time and money than makes sense, but if I were to spend my money on a photographer I'd want them to have their own domain with a "real" email.

But I also don't think it's realistic to assume that business cards are going to draw someone in to picking you as their photographer. Business cards are a convenient way of giving someone your contact info first and foremost, with the possibility of also showing off a little creativity and professionalism.

Keep at it. I have no doubt you considered these things I'm saying already but it's probably not the right time to invest money into it and you're just "testing the waters". That's cool!

    Layout Good, Photos...
The layout is good, but I am not sure that those two photographs works.
    Try using two others.

OK, so I'm given to hyperbole. I know you can handle the truth.

First off - I think any business card is better than no business card. Even if it just has your name and phone number on it.

Second - I'm a big believer in Keep It Simple Stupid, (so take what I say with a grain of salt, especially if you're an artsy-fartsy type who's into symbolism). Sometimes less is more.

Third - I love your photo's, but they don't seem to mesh. Maybe put one on the front and the other on the back. Or one on each side of the card.

Fourth (and finally) - I LOVE the duck on the edge of the card!!! That WORKS!!!

    :-)

I agree with what has been said already. (ps. when I first saw this I was surprised you had put your phone number out there for all to see. I'm glad you've blurred it out ... although, once you start distributing them, a whole lot of strangers will have your number, hope you're comfortable with that! Otherwise, you should set up a business line.)

Also, I *love* the top picture, but for some reason, when I first look at it, it gives me kinda creepy feelings. I guess I don't like seeing a little girl's backside on a business card. :)

I'm being honest, like you wanted.

    Almo,

This is a little too rough for me. Maybe adding a blur from the brown to the pictures would be nice instead of such a harsh contrast. I agree about the other comments, but also, having the ducks bill on the far right takes your eye away from the contact info. I would pick something with a little more left of centre approach.

    You'll get it don't worry,
